Hi there.
I’m Amy, the artist behind 3 Suns Studio. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember, and try to remind myself daily that I am lucky to being doing what I love. I don’t limit myself to one style or medium - I create digital art, and work in acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. My background as a graphic designer gives me a unique perspective, and I tend to like bold graphic and geometric shapes. I am inspired by so many things - travel, nature, and design styles of the past like art deco and mid century modern. I grew up in a rural northwestern New Jersey town (and yes, I love Bruce Springsteen). I currently live in Doylestown, PA with my husband and our two sons. We love to travel, hike, swim, watch movies, and most importantly, we laugh. A lot.
I went to RIT for graphic design and illustration. I worked in the corporate world for almost 25 years, working my way up to Creative Director. I’ve worked on some great brands like Calvin Klein fragrances, Revlon, Almay, KIND, and Yankee Candle. My favorite things were art directing photo shoots, managing the “dream team” for Revlon/Almay, and all the great food and shopping in Soho!
After almost 15 years working in NYC, the job stress and commute were taking its toll on our family. So my husband and I did some soul searching and decided to move our family to Bucks County, PA. It was the best thing we ever did!
3 Suns Studio was created as a way for me to get back to what I really love… painting and creating art. I also have found along the way that I love helping people find their style and fill their homes with things that make them happy!
